Africa based voice-over artists now have access to Global brands and opportunities once out of reach to them. The new online voice-sourcing platform, FindYourVoiceAfrica.com, promises to expose even more of Africa’s extraordinary talent to the world.
The platform has been operating for the past 12 months and is set to be a great success.
The idea was to develop an easy-to-use, quick turn-around, online voice marketplace. The platform connects local, regional and international brands to local voice talent from across Africa, using their custom developed 5-steps user-tool. The tool allows users to brief a recording, pick a language and voice as well as listen to samples. And with a final click, the talent is booked, and a recording is delivered within 48 hours! Depending on the complexity of the work required, spots are ready for broadcast. Alternatively, these are sent to a brand’s preferred production studios around the world, for finishing.
Dr X, founder and ideas engineer behind this project, explains that “the idea was to bridge the gap between brands and their audiences. Brands entering Africa are quickly learning how powerful delivering a message in the local language is. It dramatically increases not only the recall of the message but builds deep brand trust due to the high local relevance this offers the listeners. Our role as online voice marketplace is to connect these brands to the vast talent pool in Africa. And most importantly, in a long-term sustainable way.”
The online platform also offers fantastic opportunities for African talent to earn an income from their art. The platform actively recruits voice over talent across the continent via a super smooth & straightforward online sign-up process. Voice artists are categories depending on their language preferences, gender and age as well as any special features they might have. Also available are downloadable voice samples and previous work references, for production teams looking to source talent for client projects.
